📄 Terms of Service for United for Health Courses

Welcome to United for Health. By engaging United for Health (“we,” “our,” or “us”) to provide Bloodborne Pathogen, First Aid, and CPR courses, you (“client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our services.
1.Service Overview
United for Health provides American Heart Association (AHA) approved courses including:

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

Heartsaver® CPR AED
-
Heartsaver® First Aid
-
Bloodborne Pathogens
-
Age-Appropriate CPR & First Aid Training for K–12 Students
Courses are offered in three formats:

Virtual: Live instruction delivered online
-
In-Person: Training completed entirely on-site
-
Blended: Online lecture followed by in-person skills testing
2. Group & On-Site Training
We offer on-site group classes for healthcare facilities, schools, gyms, childcare providers, and other organizations. A signed agreement and advance payment may be required.
3. Student Responsibilities
All students are expected to:

Provide complete, accurate, and truthful information and documentation.

Respond in a timely manner to requests for additional information.

Arrive on time (late arrivals may not be admitted)

Dress appropriately for skills practice (comfortable clothing)
-
Participate respectfully and follow instructor guidance
-
Notify the instructor in advance of any physical limitations
Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from the class with no refund.
4. Payments
Payment is due in person on or before the day of class. We accept the following forms of payment:

Cash

Cash App
-
Venmo
We do not accept checks or credit/debit cards at this time. Fees must be paid in full before the start of any course. Registration is not complete until payment is received.
5. Refund Policy

Because CPR training is a service that involves reserved time, limited seating, and instructor preparation, all fees are non-refundable once the course has begun.

If you need to cancel before the class starts, you may do so at any time free of charge. However, once class instruction begins—whether virtual, in-person, or blended—no refunds will be issued, even if the course is not completed.
6. Eligibility & Registration
To participate, you must:

Be at least 18 years old, or have signed consent from a parent or guardian

Provide accurate personal information during registration

Agree to follow class policies and safety guidelines
7. Cancellations, Rescheduling, & Refund Policy
We understand that schedules can change. You may cancel or reschedule your class at any time, free of charge.

There are no cancellation fees

You may reschedule your class as often as needed

We appreciate as much advance notice as possible
If United for Health must cancel a course due to low enrollment, weather, or instructor emergency, you will be contacted promptly and offered the option to reschedule.
8. Certification
To receive certification, participants must:

Attend the full class (virtual or in-person)
-
Complete all required online modules (for blended formats)
-
Pass a written exam and hands-on skills
If applicable to course, AHA eCards will be issued via email within 24 hours of course completion.
9. Physical Activity Disclaimer
CPR and First Aid training involve physical activity including kneeling, chest compressions, and rescue breathing. By registering, you confirm you are medically able to participate and assume full responsibility for any injury.
10. Termination of Service
United for Health may terminate or refuse services for any of the following reasons:

Non-payment

Repeated failure to respond to communication or scheduling requests

Misuse or abuse of the service, instructors, or facilities

Violation of these Terms of Service
In the event of termination, you will not be entitled to a refund for any course that has already begun.
11. Intellectual Property
All course materials and content are protected by copyright and are the property of the American Heart Association or United for Health. No content may be copied, reproduced, or shared without written permission.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:

United for Health shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in our services or classes. This includes, but is not limited to, physical strain, injury, or missed certification deadlines.

Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount you paid to United for Health in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless United for Health, its instructors, affiliates, and representatives from any losses, claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your participation in training, use of our services, or violation of these Terms.
14. Privacy and Data
Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By enrolling in a course or using our services, you consent to the data practices described in our Privacy Policy.
We only collect data necessary to provide training, issue certifications, and comply with AHA requirements. Your information is never sold or shared beyond certification purposes.
15. Modifications
United for Health reserves the right to update or revise these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after updates are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved under Kentucky law.
